These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the services provided by Parot Condu Moving Services ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"), a moving company operating in Canada. By engaging our services or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By booking our services, signing a moving contract, or using our website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.
2. Services Provided
Parot Condu Moving Services provides:
- Residential and commercial moving services
- Packing and unpacking services
- Furniture assembly and disassembly
- Short-term and long-term storage solutions
- Specialty item moving (pianos, antiques, artwork)
- Moving supplies and materials
3. Booking and Contracts
3.1 Estimates and Quotes
- All estimates are based on information provided by the customer
- Binding quotes require an in-home or virtual survey
- Estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified
- Additional charges may apply for services not included in the original estimate
3.2 Booking Confirmation
- Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of signed contract and deposit
- Deposit requirements vary by service type and distance
- Changes to booking details must be communicated at least 48 hours in advance
4. Customer Responsibilities
4.1 Preparation
Customers are responsible for:
- Providing accurate inventory and access information
- Ensuring utilities are available at both locations
- Obtaining necessary permits for parking or building access
- Packing personal items unless packing services are contracted
- Backing up computer data before the move
- Draining fluids from lawn equipment and vehicles
4.2 Prohibited Items
We cannot transport:
- Hazardous materials (flammables, explosives, corrosives)
- Perishable food items
- Plants (on long-distance moves)
- Personal documents and valuables
- Illegal substances or stolen goods
- Items exceeding weight or size limitations
5. Pricing and Payment
5.1 Payment Terms
- Payment is due upon completion of services unless other arrangements are made
- Accepted payment methods include cash, certified cheque, and major credit cards
- Deposit is required to secure booking dates
- Additional charges apply for services requested on moving day
5.2 Additional Charges
Extra fees may apply for:
- Long carry distances (over 75 feet)
- Stairs and elevators
- Waiting time due to customer delays
- Storage services
- Packing materials
- After-hours services
6. Cancellation and Rescheduling
6.1 Customer Cancellations
- Cancellations more than 7 days before move date: Full refund of deposit
- Cancellations 3-7 days before move date: 50% deposit refund
- Cancellations less than 3 days before move date: No refund
- Same-day cancellations may incur additional charges
6.2 Company Cancellations
We reserve the right to cancel services due to:
- Severe weather conditions
- Road closures or safety concerns
- Customer breach of contract
- Unforeseen circumstances beyond our control
7. Liability and Insurance
7.1 Our Liability
- We maintain comprehensive general liability insurance
- Basic coverage is included in all moves
- Additional insurance options are available for high-value items
- Claims must be reported within 24 hours of delivery
7.2 Limitation of Liability
- Liability for loss or damage is limited to $0.60 per pound per item unless additional coverage is purchased
- We are not liable for pre-existing damage
- Electronic equipment is covered for replacement value only if packed by our team
- No liability for consequential or indirect damages
8. Claims Process
To file a claim:
- Notify us within 24 hours of delivery
- Provide written notice within 9 months of delivery
- Submit supporting documentation (photos, receipts, appraisals)
- Allow for inspection of damaged items
- Maintain damaged items until claim resolution
9. Storage Services
9.1 Storage Terms
- Monthly storage rates apply after the first 30 days
- Climate-controlled storage available for sensitive items
- Insurance coverage continues during storage period
- Access to storage requires 24-hour notice
9.2 Storage Limitations
- Maximum storage period: 6 months without prior arrangement
- Items must be properly packed and labeled
- We reserve the right to dispose of abandoned items after proper notice
10. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or inability to perform due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters
- Government actions or restrictions
- Labor disputes
- Equipment failure
- Acts of war or terrorism
11. Privacy and Data Protection
Your personal information is collected and used in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable Canadian privacy laws. We implement appropriate safeguards to protect your data and only share information as necessary to provide our services.
12. Dispute Resolution
12.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, and any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
12.2 Mediation
Before pursuing legal action, parties agree to attempt resolution through mediation. If mediation fails, disputes may be submitted to binding arbitration.

13.1 Acceptable Use
When using our website, you agree not to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Transmit harmful or malicious code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
